ABOUT SJC

Hi there! My name is Samuel John Castillo (SJC), and music has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up in a home shaped by worship, creativity, and sound—where music wasn’t just something we did, but something that formed us. From an early age, I was drawn to the piano, often revisiting the songs of Sunday worship long after the day had ended.
 
Over the years, that early love for music grew into a wide range of experiences: serving on worship teams, leading and directing music, studying Music Education, and working hands-on with musicians and instruments in both creative and technical spaces. Along the way, I discovered a deep appreciation not just for playing music, but for how it’s taught, maintained, shared, and stewarded.
 
SJC Music Co. exists at the intersection of artistry, craftsmanship, and care. Whether through education, instrument services, or creative collaboration, the heart of the work is the same: honoring music and helping it thrive in the lives of others.
